IBM is looking for a Back-end Developer.
Responsibilities include:
- lead developer of Think Academy backend (Bluemix, Node, Cloudant).  Think Academy backend is best described as a multi-tenant collection of generalized micro-services for building collaborative learning applications.
- technical lead / focal point for entire Think Academy platform (backend, web, mobile)
- maintain backend services
- manage cloud infrastructure and services
- architect and lead implementation of new backend services
- consult team on implementation of new features, e.g. for feature A, how to best implement across backend, web, and mobile

Immediate tasks...
... service (multi-channel message delivery including desktop push, app inbox, email, mobile push)
- event service (trigger custom actions based on server-side events, e.g. notify manager on course completion)
- group service (admin-defined groups)
- team service (user self-organize into teams)
- update CMS (evolve current or move to Drupal)
- automated backend tests
- better monitoring
- technical documentation

This Back-end Developer role is located in IBM offices in New York City, NY.
