The Weather Company, an IBM Business, seeks a passionate and experienced Meteorological Software Engineer to join its scientific software teams, which are responsible for development and operation of IBM's core meteorological data systems and products.  As part of the company dedicated to creating and delivering the world's best weather, the Meteorological Software Engineer will:

Work with scientific teams to design effective software solutions to challenging meteorological and mathematical problems, especially those related to radar, satellite, and gridded datasets

Research, enhance, design, and implement specialized weather radar or other meteorological processing algorithms

Programmatically produce unique and specialized datasets...

Design cloud-native meteorological processing systems and port datacenter-based systems to the cloud

Advance team productivity by incorporating and teaching modern software engineering practices
